Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book details the geological discoveries made during an expedition through Texas and New Mexico in the mid-1800s. The author provides an overview of the region's geology, including detailed descriptions of the different rock formations found there, their composition, and their relative ages. The author also discusses the various fossils that have been found in the region, and how they have helped to piece together the geological history of the area. Of particular interest is the author's exploration of the Cretaceous System, which spanned three geological periods and left behind enormous deposits of limestone, sandstone, and gypsum. The author concludes that the region's rich and varied geology holds great potential for economic development.
