Ihre exotische Ausstrahlung, die besondere Atmosphäre und natürlich ihre Bewohner, Menschen der verschiedensten Nationalitäten beeindruckten ihn stark. Es nimmt daher nicht wunder, daß Miron Sima nachdem er fünf Jahre in Tel Aviv lebte, dann 1938 Jerusalem zu seiner ständigen Wohn- und Wirkungsstätte wählte. Seitdem sind die beiden zu einer Symbiose zusammengewachsen, der Maler und seine Stadt. Beiden ist eine bezaubernde Liebenswürdigkeit eigen, die bei Miron Sima in seinen Stilleben und Landschaftsbildern in warmen und hellen Farben zum Ausdruck kommt. Beide aber geben auch Zeugnis von der Tragödie menschlicher Geschichte ab, die ihren Höhepunkt in den Leiden des jüdischen Volkes erfährt. Aber immer wieder beweist sich die Lebenskraft und die Hoffnung auf die Zukunft stärker als alles Vergangene, und so wie Jerusalem heute eine pulsierende und strahlende Stadt ist, so sind auch Miron Simas Bilder immer wieder von unerschütterlicher Lebensfreude gekennzeichnet.
