The first collected edition of these travel accounts by citizens of Zurich, containing the first editions of three of the titles: H.J. Zeller and H. Huser's "A new description of the island of Jamaica"; Felix-Christian Spori's "American travel account to the Caribbean Islands and New England"; and Hans-Jacob Zur Eich's [i.e. W.J…. Muller] "African travel journal to Fetu on the African Gold Coast." The first work by Hans Jacob Amman, "Narrative of a trip to Palestine," had been published in 1618 and 1630. XXVII6-29), das rechte Bild zeigt den Mord an Absalom (II. Sam. XVIII, 9-18). "Die durch weitere Bibelsprüche abgestützte Lehre mahn…t die Kinder, ihre Eltern und Vorgesetzten zu ehren und ihnen Gehorsam zu leisten.( Brüggemann-Brunken). - Der Zürcher Kupferstecher Conrad Meyer (1618-1689), der an die tausend Blätter radierte, wird als Begründer der Neujahrsblätter vermutet (vgl. Auch Thieme-Becker XXIV, 467). Der Verfasser des Hauptverses ist der protestantische Pfarrer, Kircheninspektor und Dichter Johann Wilhelm Simler (1605-1672). - (Leicht angerändert).
