Come una sorta di koiné culturale fascista, la rivista attuava una politica - anche lingüística - basata sugli ideali e i valori identitari ostentatamente condivisi dai due totalitarismi. Grazie a una visione trasversale di entrambe le edizioni, i saggi in italiano e in spagnolo contenuti in questo volume analizzano la rivista, ricalcandone il bilinguismo, come un esempio paradigmático delle relazioni politiche e culturali tra l'Italia fascista e la Spagna del primo Franchismo, ma soprattutto come uno strumento d'informazione e di formazione propagandistica in cui la costruzione del discorso - ma anche il racconto, l'immagine fotografi ca e la 'settima arte' - convergono per sostenere l'immediatezza del messaggio ideologico.Como toda prensa 'de régimen' también Legioni e Falangi. Rivista d'Italia e di Spagna / Legiones y Falanges. Revista mensual de Italia y de España (1940 - 1943) , que se publicó paralelamente entre Roma y Madrid, puede leerse como una narración uniforme de los acontecimientos de la época gracias a las imágenes y a los textos que la componían. Lugar privilegiado donde se reunía lo más destacado de la cultura y de la política de ambos países, gracias al bilingüismo y a la traducción en la revista se concretaba una política - también lingüística- basada en los ideales y en los valores aparentemente compartidos por los dos totalitarismos. Desde un enfoque polifacético que abarca ambas ediciones, los ensayos in italiano y en español recogidos en este volumen estudian la revista Legioni e Falangi/Legiones y Falanges no solo como un modelo de las relaciones culturales y políticas entre la Italia fascista y la España de la posguerra, sino también como uno de los medios de informac ión y formación propagandística donde todo contribuía a reafirmar el mensaje ideológico y su pronta recepción.
