Stain by top left of front cover, and a similar though smaller stain two-thirds down the spine; a little bumping at spine and at covers' corners; binding unsound at each of the end papers; some corner wear through book; ownership or gift details, dated "Xmas 1919", on reverse of frontispiece which itself is slightly loose; internally, however, generally clean and tidy, and of sound binding, save for a small number of creases and marks; some marks on bottom edge of text block.
