The development of Golders Green, which commenced in the early part of this century, has been one of the most interesting and fascinating developments ever carried out round the environs of London and in particular the vision of Henrietta Barnett in organising the creation of the Hampstead Garden Suburb, is an outstanding piece of town planning. My predecessor, Mr. Ernest Owers, was the first Estate Agent to set up business in Golders Green and was responsible for advising many of the builders who developed residential property which is now so well known in the area. Much of the land at Golders Green was owned by the Church Com-missioners and it was on their land that a great number of attractive private houses.…
