Includes 3 illustrations by Rockwell Kent. Laid in is a mimeographed note indicating this is a review copy. 6" x 9", 20pp (unpag.). Printed on alkaline paper and saddle stitched in an uncoated printed card stock cover. There is a 1" x 1/2" water droplet stain at the top edge of the front cover. Otherwise, age discoloration, light soiling, light edge wear to cover, and the top fore corner is lifting. Staples are oxidized but binding remains strong and tight. Pages are gently age toned but clean and unmarked.

Sobell was the wife of Morton Sobell, sentenced to 30 years for spying for the USSR in WW2. She campaigned tirelessly to get his sentence overturned, and also to save the Rosenbergs, co-charged with Morton, from execution. The Sobells had been members of the Young Communist League. Rockwell Kent was an important American designer, painter and printmaker - and an activist who suffered under McCarthyism. Signed by Author(s).
