Original white cloth, (vellum type) over bevelled boards with black printed title and gilt cross to front cover, printed red borders, and red and black printed decorative motifs to spine. Large quarto. 52pp. Red tinted page edges. With 15 photographs, as called for, of churches, each pasted to a plate page with a guard leaf opposite, with 2 or 3 pages of text on each church, each of which has a printed red border with cross motif to corners. A nicely produced volume, which stands alone, and has no reference to any other volumes, although the first edition had been published in 3 volumes covering other churches in Fenland as well. A Good+ copy. The contents are very good, clean and well-bound, but the covers (as often with white cloth) have various marks and are rather grubby, with some abrasions to cloth at edges.…
