Pictorial Boards. Condizione: Good. First Edition. Not dated, 1943 First Edition. Size oblong octavo, 19 pages. Publisher's original pictorial boards with dark navy blue cloth spine. Condition good, some age wear to covers rubbing at edges, the stapled text block has come away from the binding but is in itself intact, pages and illustrations very clean throughout.

Hardcover. Condizione: Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: No Dust Jacket. Presumed First UK Edition. A delightful Chinese fairy tale. No date but c.1943/5. Pretty coloured pictorial paper covered boards with the front board depicting a Chinese boy and a cute fish holding a pair of scissors in it's mouth. The book has a dark blue Cloth spine. Minor wear along the edges of the paper boards, a couple of marks to the boards, and the paper of the corners (only) are scraped through to the boards. The pages are staple bound and the staples are rusty - causing the text block to have come loose from the binding, but the block is tight and very clean. The book is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks Near VG. NO Inscriptions or Marks internally. Twenty pages. Beautifully illustrated throughout in full colour. These colour plates are printed by autolithography. Overall a Clean, Tight and Bright copy of quite a scarce title. Images available on Request. ; Oblong 8vo 8" to 9".

Text is quite bright but some creasing and outer leaves of text block are a bit marked. Original label pasted to front pastedown with 3/6 net price announces that the publisher is giving a penny for every copy sold to "United Aid to China Fund". Front cover a lirttle dust marked, rear cover has sunned sstrip an inch wide next to spine.
