Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Binding remains firm. Minor pencil inscriptions to front free endpaper. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some moderate marking and tanning. Gilt lettering to spine is dulled but remains brighter on front. Boards are slightly bowed.

This one was issued in 1946 and was used by a student at the Medway School of Arts and Crafts to the extent that he has marked most samples in beautiful handwriting with their type and weight of paper, corresponding to the numbered list of samples at the front. Soft blue cover in remarkably good condition for its age, just slight darkening to edges, dark blue lettering to front. Internally: clean and tightly bound, slight mark to the edges of 3 adjacent pages. 5 pp text plus 53 samples.
