One of his notable works is an etching titled 'Numa Pompilius giving laws to the Romans', which he created after a painting by Polidoro da Caravaggio. In this piece, Numa Pompilius, the legendary second king of Rome, is depicted imparting laws to the Roman people. The original painting by Polidoro da Caravaggio inspired Mulinari's etching, capturing the historical moment with intricate details and skillful execution.Biography artist: Giorgio Vasari (1511-1574) was an Italian Renaissance painter and architect, who is best known for his work Lives of the Most Excellent Painters, Sculptors, and Architects, considered the ideological foundation of all art-historical writing, and still much cited in modern biographies of the many Italian Renaissance artists he covers, including Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, although he is now regarded as including many factual errors, especially when covering artists from before he was born. Condition: good, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. Giorgio Vasari (illustratore).
