Deutsche Handschrift auf Papier. (42) SS. Grüner Samteinband der Zeit mit dekorativen Messingbeschlägen an Ecken und Deckeln. Marmorvorsätze. Dreiseitiger Goldschnitt. Folio (240 x 350 mm). In minutiöser Kalligraphie verfasster Bericht der Reise einer Wiener Beamtendeputation im Jänner 1814 nach Freiburg, um Kaiser Franz I. zum Sieg über Napoleon nach der Völkerschlacht bei Leipzig zu gratulieren. Mitglieder der Deputation waren der Wiener Bürgermeister Stephan von Wohlleben (1751-1823), Vizebürgermeister Vinzenz Weiner (1766-1814), der Magistratsrat und spätere Bürgermeister Joseph Anton von Leeb (1769-1837), Magistratsrat Johann Seyfritz und Hauptmann Karl Joseph Hammer. - Enthält Abschriften von Wohllebens Gesuch an den Kaiser zur Bewilligung der Deputationsreise und der positiven Antwort desselben sowie von Wohllebens Rede bei der Audienz in Freiburg und der Entgegnung des Kaisers: "Uiberbringen Sie der Stadt Wien die Versicherung Meines fortwährenden Wohlwollens. Ich hoffe Mich bald in Ihrer Mitte zu befinden. Der Tag der Rückkehr zu Meinen Kindern wird einer der schönsten Meines Lebens seyn". - Ferner Berichte über die Überbringung zweier Ehrenbürgerschaftsdiplome der Stadt Wien an Fürst Lothar von Metternich und Fürst von Schwarzenberg sowie eine Audienz bei Friedrich Wilhelm III., König von Preußen. - Zeitgenössische Abschrift des im Magistratsarchiv aufbewahrten Reiseberichts, kopiert in Wien, den 20. September 1815, gezeichnet von Magistratsexpeditsdirektor Dürnberger und versehen mit dem papiergedeckten Siegel der Stadt Wien. - Die kalligraphische Titelseite signiert "scripsit von Burkhard". Die Messingbeschläge zeigen auf dem Vorderdeckel eine Engelsfigur mit den Wappenschilden der Monarchie und der Stadt Wien, auf dem Hinterdeckel eine Waffentrophäe. - Vorderdeckel etwas berieben; Gelenke angeplatzt.
