The armorial stamp on both boards of this binding is the heraldic achievement of the British royal family between 1801 and 1816. With rare exceptions, royal armorial stamps of this kind do not indicate a royal provenance, but instead serve as a testament to the respect or loyalty that a previous owner held for the royal family. 1345608.
