Hardcover w/ Jacket. Condizione: Near Fine. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. "This 9.375 x 11.625 inch, 156 page hardcover book with dust wrapper is the stated first American edition of this title as published by the MacMillan Company in 1968. This copy is in near fine condition with the dark blue cloth covers showing just a touch of wear at the corners, bottom edges, and spine foot. Otherwise the cover cloth shows no handling or wear and the gilt lettering on front panel and spine is bright and clean. The interior shows a previous owner's bookplate on the ffep, a small one-inch sticker on the front pastedown claiming "The mark of approval" - - but beyond that the text is in fine condition with no markings or damage. The color plates, from paintings by Keith Shackleton, are attractive and in striking color. The dust wrapper is in very good condition with wear to the edges and several medium tears repaired by tape to the inside of the jacket, and the price blotted with ink but still readable on the inside flap. 156 pages.".
