In full-calf binding with marbled endpapers. Bookplate of Chas. A. Bamber to the front paste down of each work. Externally, reasonably smart with slight bumping and rubbing, resulting in moderate loss of cloth to edges and cracking to front and rear joints. A few marks to boards, the most prominent being to the front boards of Volumes I and II. Internally, hinges generally a little weak, especially to the rear of Volume I, text otherwise firmly bound. Small tide mark affecting the frontispiece of Volume I. Noticeable discolouration and light sporadic spotting throughout. Good. book.

Condizione: Very Good binding. The set in three volumes; tan half-calf over marbled boards, with marbled endpapers and edges; raised bands with decorations in gilt, with morocco labels. The portrait frontispiece in Volume I has a tide line not affecting the portrait. Overall, a handsome set. Very Good binding.
