Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. This 1925 copy has been rebound in red cloth boards without the original paper covers. The spine has faded slightly and the rebinding has added mottled red to the paper edges which, in my view, add, rather than detract, from the overall appearance. The 'five Cricketers of the Year photo plate is present. A very good clean and tight copy.

Hardcover. Condizione: Near Fine. 1st Edition. This 1923 copy has been rebound in brown cloth but the original paper covers are not present. The rebinding appears recent as the covers are bright. The contents are complete and tight, the photo plate of the Five Cricketers of the Year being present. A previous owner, prior to the rebinding, has hand typed a title page and there is evidence that this might have been inserted by Southern Booksellers (Charlie Steggles, for those with long memories) as there is a piece attached which seems to be instructions to the binder. Overall, a near fine copy.

Some loss to final leaf. Toned throughout, with some wear to edges and original covers. Presented in an attractive new hardcover binding. Good.

A very nice firm and complete copy of this rare, 1916, mid-First World War edition.Although the spine seems to be intact, the copy has had a brown reinforcing strip added which could perhaps be removed. Lord Harris' s tribute to the late W. G. Grace (1848-1915) also has full statistics of Mr Grace's career on the cricket field.

Forty-fourth edition. Original rear wrapper with facsimile front wrapper and spine. Light foxing to edges of page block. Contents are good.
