Elegante e illustratissima guida di gusto liberty, dovuta alla penna del professor Sylvain Lucat, autore del libro di lettura adottato dalla Municipalità di Aosta ad inizio secolo (Lectures pour les écoles et les familles valdôtaines, 1900) e dell'apprezzata guida della Valle d'Aosta del 1906, nonché primo curatore della stampa dell'Historique de la Vallée d'Aoste di Jean-Baptiste de Tillier. La guida fu impressa nel 1911 dall'editore Juste Vittaz che si premura di notare che «l'Association Valdotaine ne donne plus signe de vie»: appariva evidente, in occasione dei festeggiamenti che avrebbero portato a Torino turisti possibilmente interessati ad escursioni valdostane, l'utilità di una simile pubblicazione. Il libretto tratta di Aosta e delle escursioni nei dintorni: Pont Suaz, Signayes, Porossan, Signayes - Roisan - Porossan, Excenex, Saint-Christophe, Charvensod e Sainte Colombe, Pollein e Brissogne, Fénis, Sarre, Saint-Pierre e Villeneuve, Gressan e Aymavilles, Gignod e Etroubles, Valpelline e Ollomont, Segnale Sismonda, Gran San Bernardo, punta Chaligne, Mont Fallère, Becca di Viou, Becca di Nona, Monte Emilius, Cogne, Pré-Saint-Didier, La Thuile e Piccolo San Bernardo, Santa Margherita, Courmayeur.
