IL est aujourd'hui considéré comme la p…remière bande dessinée connue. Dessiné en 1827 mais autographié et publié en 1837. Sur la page de titre on peut lire cette préface: « Ci-derrière commence l'histoire de monsieur VieuxBois, et comme quoi après bien des vicissitudes, il épouse l'Objet aimé.
