Jacket stained, chipped, & torn, internally mended with archival tape, substantial loss to head of spine. Text clean; xl, 806 pages, illustrations by Richard Doyle. Size: Octavo.

A repair has been made to the rear endpaper, and the binding is firm. Volume II: All hinges undamaged. Owner s name written to front of each volume.
