It is a detailed map of the United States and adjacent regions of Canada and Mexico, showing the Santa Fe railway system and the principal railroads in the eastern United States, southern Canada, and northern Mexico. On the recto are smaller maps of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Kansas City, and Chicago, and a birdseye map/view of the United States from Chicago to the coast of California with an accompanying "Profile of the Santa Fe Between Chicago and California."
