Signature from title page to page 2 of text is loose and laid in whole (holding together but loosening) -- inner hinge badly cracked there. Page block edges darkened/soiled. Small tear in paper at rear inner hinge. Large dampstain to plates between pages 262 and 263. Some other discolorations scattered inside, like at title page and frontispiece, also foxing in back matter. -- Overall in Fair Minus condition. 398 pp. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

A previous owner's name in pencil to the front endpaper which begins "Henri de.", the surname being possibly "Monbrison".
