The second issue of the San Franciso-based zine created by Vale Hamanaka, who while working at City Lights Bookstore, was given seed money by Allen Ginsberg and Lawrence Ferlinghetti to create his own magazine. The zine, which covered the emerging punk and new wave scene, was named for an Iggy Pop song of the same name and viewed punk as not just a new genre of music but a lifestyle. This issue features interviews with Iggy Pop, Penelope from the Avengers, the Ramones, The Clash, The Dils, Devo, and others.

Three vintage borderless matte-finish photographs of the Ramones in concert on May 2, 1977, at the Bataclan in Paris. One with the stamp of photographer Jean-Louis Rancurel on the verso. The Ramones' performance in Paris was the fifth stop on the Ramones' European tour, which ran from April 24 to June 6, 1977. The band was supported by the Talking Heads through the tour, and was joined for two performances by The Saints, and one performance by The Boomtown Rats. 7 x 9.5 inches. There is an accompanying flier which was part of the original promo press package, and it is signed by Joey and Johnny Ramone. It has not been authenticated, but the signatures match online examples of their signatures from the 70's. This copy was bought by the current owner at a record store in the late 70's or very early 80's. The vinyl is completely clean. The jacket has very light shelf wear, with a gold promo stamp on back. The flier is very clean, and the signatures are distinct and clear. The rest of the promo packet is not present. "Rock N Roll High School" was released in 1979 and was produced by Roger Corman. It is considered a iconic cult movie of that period and a classic in rock n roll soundtracks.

Handwritten working lyrics by Joey Ramone for the Steel Reserve commercial jingle "High Gravity Lager," 2pp (8 ½" x 11"), unsigned, in blue and black ballpoint on the versos only of two scrap pages with late 1993 dates (a Ramones interview request from Ray Gun Magazine and an order form from Eggbert Records). On the right side of the first sheet, Ramone adds a phone number and pens a few lines to the Adios Amigos song "She Dreams of Rainbows." Some light creasing and toning to the edges. Ex. Daniel Rey with a letter from him. "High Gravity Lager" was one of three commercial jingles the Ramones were commissioned to write for the Steel Brewing Company and their Steel Reserve lager, alongside "Gimme My Steel Reserve" and "Fill My Cup." These 1994 commissions arrived during the Ramones' final years as a touring band, a period when punk's original iconoclasts navigated the contradictions between their anti-commercial ethos and economic survival. Writing on verso of discarded ephemeral materials represents common creative practice across artistic disciplines where the urgency of composition occurs opportunistically on whatever materials are at hand when inspiration strikes. By the mid-1990s, the Ramones occupied a paradoxical cultural position: acknowledged as foundational figures whose minimalist aesthetic and three-chord template had shaped punk, hardcore, and alternative music, yet commercially operating through the same pragmatic strategies that sustained independent musicians. The manuscript's inclusion of lines to "She Dreams of Rainbows" from Adios Amigos (1995) complicates simple distinctions between artistic and commercial work.
