Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. Not books but a pair of 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm stereo vinyl LPs, Original Sound OSR-LPS 8850 (very-good-plus vinyl in a very-good-plus cardboard jacket, originally released 1959 but this pressing 1971) . . . AND OSR-LPS 8852 (near mint in a very good mostly black jacket which is starting to show some ring wear, originally 1960 but this pressing 1971.) "Original monophonic recordings have been electronically enhanced for today's stereo phonographs . . . plays mono or stereo." Original Sound address listed to DISC LABELS as 7120 Sunset Blvd., Hollywood 46, Calif., that being a pre-zip code (pre-1962) address. HOWEVER, photo to jacket verso of Vol. 2 showing record company president Art Laboe with Big Joe Turner dated July 31, 1971, and record JACKETS carry a small date code "9/71" while showing post-1962 zip codes, so while these discs are generally dated 1959 and 1960, we believe these are 1971 re-releases. Vol. 1 includes the Five Satins' "In the Still of the Night," The Penguins' "Earth Angel," The Teenqueens' "Eddie My Love," The Mello Kings' "Tonite, Tonite," Shirley & Lee's "Let the Good Times Roll," The Jaguars' rendition of Jerome Kern's "The Way You Look Tonight," Etta James' "Dance With Me, Henry," etc. Vol. II features The Clovers' "Devil or Angel," The Velvetones "Glory of Love," Joe Turner's "Shake, Rattle & Roll," The Turbans' "When You Dance," Faye Adams' "Shake A Hand," The Nutmegs' "Story Untold," etc. Price is for the pair of vinyl LPs, now reduced from $12.50.…
