XII, 318 Seiten mit zahlreichen s/w Porträtfotos auf 2 doppelblattgroßen Tafeln sowie einem ausfaltbaren Notenblatt. Wenige Seiten sind etwas fleckig. Namenszug einer Vorbesitzerin in…alter Tinte auf dem Vorsatz ( Käte Billig, gen: Bearley, 1886 ). Insgesamt in noch gutem Zustand, Aus der Bibliothek des österreichischen Schriftstellers und Drehbuchautors Horst Pillau (geboren 1932 in Wien, gestorben 2021 in Berlin ) mit dessen Namenszug in Bleistift auf dem Vorsatz. Zu Pillaus Werken zählen u.a. Ihre so lieben Zeilen empfingen mich, und ich sage Ihnen für die so überaus gütige und schnelle Erfüllung meiner Bitte, meinen innigsten, tiefgefühltesten Dank. Leider ist die Versöhnung,… die Sie so gnädig waren anzubahnen, nicht in dem Sinne geglückt, wie ich sie gewünscht []. Ich hätte nicht geglaubt, dass Dr. Laube so starr in seinen Ansichten beharrte, und nicht fühlt, dass er verpflichtet, auf meinen letzten Brief nach der Katastrophe, selbst ein Wort an mich zu richten! Gestatten Sie mir, meine liebenswürdige Collegin, einen Vorwurf, der mich tief verletzt hat, näher zu beleuchten. Sie schrieben: 'dass ich als gerechte Strafe für mein Vergehen, den Zweifel an meine Worte hinnehmen müsse'. - Ich gestehe Ihnen offen und ehrlich, dass ich mich in keiner Weise strafbar fühle, und den Zweifel an mein Wort keinem Menschen auf Erden gestatte. Ich habe Ihnen, mein liebes gütiges Fräulein[,] den Verlauf der ganzen Angelegenheit mitgetheilt, und Ihre mir so gnädig gesinnte Mama wie Sie selbst, haben mir unbedingt zugeben müßen, dass ich durch solche Umstände gedrängt - nicht anders konnte []". - Theodor Liedtke wirkte als Schauspieler am Berliner Hoftheater.
