Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book pioneers a novel methodology for accurately determining the numerical values of the derivatives and integrals of complex mathematical functions using finite difference and summation schemes. Particularly useful for problems that cannot be efficiently solved using analytical methods, its development and refinement is a significant contribution to computational mathematics. The author provides numerous practical applications of the new methodologies to the field of Celestial Mechanics, particularly to the problem of determining the motions of celestial bodies subject to complex and varying gravitational forces. These methods are particularly well-suited to computer programming and are applicable to any continuous function, enabling their use in a wide array of scientific and engineering disciplines. The work's detailed theoretical development, extensive tables of numerical coefficients, and worked examples make this an essential addition to any numerical analyst's library. The meticulous care taken in the derivation and verification of these methods, particularly in the accompanying computer programs, places them on a par with analytical methods as far as reliability is concerned. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…

Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu.
