Advance copy, consisting of unbound, unsewn signatures, laid into stiff wrappers [advance copy not noted by bibliographers (see Ted Hughes/ Sagar and Tabor B34 for both the limited and trade editions)]. Tall octavo, unbound signatures, untrimmed [taller, by approximately one-half inch, than final published sheets], 68 pages (illustrated with four leaves of plates, reproducing manuscript material, in holograph facsimile, by Ted Hughes, W.H. Auden, Philip Larkin et al), laid into stiff printed wrappers [matching the printed dust jacket]. Includes Ted Hughes' poem "Mountains," and a fragment of "Sort" (both reproduced in Hughes' holograph facsimile, from the original manuscript)[see S&T B34a]. Also prints biographical sketches, and descriptions of items in the exhibition, including materials by W.H. Auden, Derek Walcott, Dylan Thomas, C. Day Lewis, Philip Larkin et al. Text includes a two-page preface by C. Day Lewis, and "Operation Manuscript" by Philip Larkin (eight-pages).
