Nel primo capitolo vengono presentate alcune questioni filologico-linguistiche alla luce dei cambiamenti radicali che caratterizzarono l'Unione Sovietica nei primi decenni d…el XX secolo, a cavallo della cesura epocale rappresentata dalla rivoluzione, o colpo di stato, dell'ottobre del 1917. Vi si cerca di mettere in rilievo il contributo del pensiero linguistico russo - e slavo - allo sviluppo della disciplina e, nel contempo, il dilemma della contrapposizione ideologico-epistemologica fra Europa occidentale ed Europa orientale. Il secondo capitolo ha come protagonista eponimo una figura piuttosto controversa della linguistica sovietica, Nikolaj Jakovlevic? Marr, che negli ultimi anni è tornato in auge, non solo come esempio emblematico di perversione ideologica, con il conseguente recupero di alcuni frammenti del suo pensiero non lineare. Il terzo e ultimo capitolo riprende il tema del rapporto fra ideologia e scienza, applicato all'ambito degli studi linguistici e filologici in Unione Sovietica: vi si propone un confronto fra la posizione a lungo indiscussa di Marr come promotore di un nuovo indirizzo linguistico e la figura quasi ieratica di Dmitrij Sergeevic Lichacëv, corifeo degli studi medievistici, qui visto come fondatore di un modello ecdotico alternativo alla critica del testo occidentale. Il basso continuo che soggiace, più o meno percepibile, all'intera narrazione è il complesso e delicato rapporto fra ricerca umanistica - nel caso specifico linguistica e filologica - e potere, fra ideologia e scienza, fra libertà del singolo individuo e presunte o reali esigenze della collettività. Jahrhunderts wurde in Würzburg die "Expositio Psalmorum" gedruckt, eine dem Würzburger Bischof Bruno zugeschriebene Kompilation aus verschiedenen Kommentaren zu Psalmen, biblischen…Oden und weiteren Texten kirchlichen Inhalts. Eine der ersten gedruckten Ausgaben diente als Vorlage der russisch-kirchenslavischen Übersetzung "Tolkovaja Psaltir' Brunona Gerbipolenskogo", die Dmitrij Gerasimov im Auftrag des damaligen Novgoroder Erzbischofs Makarij im Jahre 1535 vollendete; dank der großen Verbreitung deutscher Drucke in Novgorod und Umgebung fand ein sonst ziemlich unbedeutender Psalmenkommentar auch bei den Ostslaven besondere Beachtung. Diese Arbeit setzt sich zum Ziel, die "Tolkovaja Psaltir'" dem slavistischen Fachpublikum bekannt zu machen, und dabei auf historische, sprachliche sowie kulturelle Besonderheiten hinzuweisen, welche die Bedeutung dieses bisher vernachlässigten Werkes hervorheben, sowohl im Hinblick auf die Übersetzungsproblematik, als auch auf die Überlieferungsgeschichte in der slavischen orthodoxen Welt. Dieser grammatische Traktat über die acht Redeteile stellt die Übersetzung der Ars minor des Aelius Donatus (4. Jhdt.) dar, die während des gesamten Mittelalters als Elementarbuch des Lateinischen in ganz Europa verbreitet war. Diese Edition versteht sich als philologisch-kulturgeschichtlicher Beitrag zum Studium des russischen Donat. In der Einleitung werden Entstehung, handschriftliche Überlieferung sowie Form und Funktion des Textes untersucht. Die historisch-kritische Edition erfolgt nach einer bisher nicht berücksichtigten Handschrift des ausgehenden 16.
