Charles Wech [1850-1914] was a noted bibliographer and librarian to the Guildhall Library. The volume contains meticulous transcripts of the medieval and early modern financial records covering the years 1455 to 1536. Regarded as the most important single source for the history of the medieval and early modern parish. They survived the Great Fire of 1666, as the church was located on the northern edge of the city.
