Gregory drew back into the shadows and danged the cold steel from his long fingers. He did what he called 'the balancing', weighing the knife in his hand to test its equilibrium and feeling a sort of electric current run up his arm to his shoulder. Suddenly, the man was almost on him. He was running in a curious flat-footing fashion, trying to be as quiet as possible. Gregory watched him come. His right hand rose and flashed forward with terrific violence. There was a short, almost inaudible, hissig sound. A dull thud. A death rattle." RARE Title; >>> Store stamp on inside first page.
