Rough copy of what is usually a 2 in 1 volume or 3 in 1 volume. Looks like this was present as a "pocket edition" of the first 32 plates. Fair, wraps have creases, spine is rough. Pages have moderate toning and brown spots. Some pages have been short trimmed. All pages have edge wear. A few back pages have been cut at corner but does not extend to picture area. Sarah used mutual instruction, a method developed by Dr. Andrew Bell, to teach her children. In an article published in the Edinburgh Review she advocated the use of Bell's methods to spread the ideas of the Anglican Church. This eventually led to the formation of the National Society for Promoting the Education of the Poor in the Principles of the Established Church.…
