Denna avhandling behandlar mynt i ett historiskt, antikt perspektiv men innehåller en del svenskt, bl.a. ordspråket ?Penningar äro goda wahror och gälla både winter och sommar? och citat från Bilberg om samernas handel. Johan Upmarck (adlad Rosenadler) (1664-1743) var känd som en av nordens främsta latinska vältalare och innehade från 1698 - som förste svensk - den skytteanska lärostolen i Uppsala.
