Red cloth boards with stamped gilt titling and coloured crest. The boards have wear to the corners from shelving. They have mild scuffing. The spine has some mild wear from…shelving to head and foot and to the pressed gilt borders. The boards and spine are healthy, steady, sound. The contents have some shallow storage (?) creases to the top corners (throughout). The papertrims are mildly marked from use and shelving. The pages are otherwise pleasing. They are very clean (considering the time of printing (1940) and ownership), clear, bright, fresh-faced, fit, certain, diligent, dutiful, confident. fk.
