Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book is a tapestry, a woven account of the history of tapestries themselves. The author traces the development of tapestry from its origins in the ancient world to its zenith in 15th and 16th century France and Flanders. Along the way, the book examines the techniques, materials, and designs used in tapestries, as well as the social and cultural contexts in which they were created. The book is full of beautiful illustrations and in-depth scholarship, making it an essential resource for anyone interested in the history of art and textiles, as well as in the broader history of human civilization. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

Condizione: Gut. 37 S., 44 Tafeln. Einband berieben.
