Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. The photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin have been inseparable from the fashion and art scene since the 1990s. Very early on they made use of digital processing and distortion. Sometimes a delicate retouch was enough, and sometimes they took it to the apex of gross contortion. Through their strongly expressive manipulations, the couple developed a pictorial vocabulary of their own, and they continued to develop it in their themes. Their work is extravagant and gaudy. At the same time, however, they deal with cryptic questions about superficiality, gender, and identity. This book of photos presents a kind of retrospective "director's cut," as it were. On the occasion of their exhibition at The Ravestijn Gallery, the artists have selected their favorites from a rich collection. Despite the variety of themes, each photograph bears the inimitable signature of its creators. Presented in a magazine-like style, this publication celebrates the authentic diversity of this outstanding couple of artists. Hardcover. Condizione: Used - Very Good. For AutoWork, two teams of curators in the United States and Germany invited internationally renowned artists to work with the BMW group's corporate identity--in the widest sense of the term: its employees, products, customers, work processes and image, using both photography and film. The artists were granted absolute artistic freedom and complete autonomy. Included among the project's participants in Germany are Heike Baranowsky, Thomas Struth, Rineke Dijkstra, Thomas Demand, Nina Fischer & Maroan El Sani, Candida H+fer, Boris Michailov, Johannes Muggenthaler, Ursula Rogg, and Alexander Timtschenko. Included among the project's participants in the US are Sharon Lockhart, Noritoshi Hirakawa, Wolfgang Tillmans, Beat Streuli, Todd Eberle, Glenn Ligon, Catherine Opie, Paul Searight, and Gillian Wearing. Very nice clean, tight copy free of any marks. Wrapped in complimentary Brodart dust jacket protector.

Celebrating 40 years of collaboration between Inez and Vinoodh, one of the most influential photography duos of our time, this book offers a unique comprehensive retrospective of their groundbreaking career. For forty years, Inez van lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin have redefined the boundaries of photography. This iconic duo, hailed world-wide for their fearless fusion of art, fashion, and portraiture, has created a body of work that is as visually seductive as it is intellectually disruptive. To this day, Inez and Vinoodh continue to collaborate with leading designers and luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Chloé, and Chanel, while also producing striking covers and editorials for acclaimed publications including Vogue, Rolling Stone, W Magazine, and Time. Acting as both mirror and magnifying glass, their photography not only draws from popular culture but also critiques it, uncovering complex layers of beauty, resistance, and desire. As they mark four decades of creative partnership, this stunning volume asks the central question behind their vision: can love truly be captured in a photograph? Published to accompany the exhibition of the same name at Kunstmuseum Den Haag, opening 21 March 2026. Design by m/m (paris).
