Conceptions by John Vassos (illustratore). This book has no dust jacket, but it has wonderful B&W illustrations by John Vassos. The binding is faded orange/brown cloth. It has noticeable shelf wear. Interestingly, the previous owner has written her name inside the front. The name: Margaret Doggett, dated December 1939. Miss Doggett, who notably survived a ship sinking in the Atlantic while in a sorority at the University of Texas, later married Trammel Crow, the noted Dallas developer. Photos available on request.
