Aggiungi al carrelloFolding catalogue brochure produced for the joint exhibition held in Berlin, March - April 1965. Independently of one another, Lucio Fontana in Italy, Hermann Goepfert in Germany and Jef Verheyen in Belgium had begun to postulate monochrome as a new idea in painting, together with the use of real elements, particularly light and… motion, as pictorial materials. The intensive artistic exchange between Goepfert, Fontana and Verheyen culminated in 1963, in a collaborative work they exhibited in Berlin. ?Untitled" (1963) by Jef Verheyen, Lucio Fontana and Hermann Goepfert is one of the few collaborative works by several artists of different nationalities after 1945. In 1965, Goepfert went in person to Milan to invite Fontana to a joint exhibition with himself and Jef Verheyen in Berlin at Christian Chruxin?s situationen 60 Galerie. The Berlin exhibition showed the 1963 collaborative work, which had first been shown in that year at the Frankfurt Galerie d, in the exhibition ?achrom 2? Three-part folding leporello of black card, with screenprinted titles in white on recto. Verso with three more tipped-on folding leporellos of black paper, offset printed with text and illustrations.

Jef Verheyen…(1932 -1984) nahm an mehreren Ausstellungen der Künstlergruppe «Zero», die 1957 von Heinz Mack und Otto Piene in Düsseldorf gegründet wurde und bis 1966 existierte. 1961 kam Günther Uecker dazu. Zero knüpfte zahlreiche Querverbindung zu geistesverwandten europ. Künstlern, gemeinsame Ausstellungen u.a. mit L. Fontana («Concetti spaziali»), Yves Klein (monochrome sowie neodadaistische Elemente), Tinguely (kinetische Objekte). Beeinflusst von Künstlern wie Mack, Piene und Uecker in Düsseldorf die sich einem lineraren Tachismus verschrieben, während sich die restlichen Zero-Mitglieder vor allem sich mit dem Licht beschäftigen und Monochrome Malerei schufen. Verheyden spielte in der Gruppe eine wichtige Rolle die leider noch nicht gebührend gewürdigt wird. Werke von ihm hängen im Museum voor Moderne Kunst (PMMK), Oostende, und Stedelijk Museum voor Actuele Kunst (SMAK), Gent. 1100 gr. Schlagworte: Illustr. Eines von 50 Exemplaren der Vorzugsausgabe mit der vorn eingebundenen signierten zweiteiligen OLithographie und diese zusätzlich lose im hinteren Deckel eingelegt ist. Im Druckvermerk von Dürrenmatt und Verheyen signiert und… mit einer Widmung von Dürrenmatt versehen. Das vordere Vorsatzblatt mit einem Knick, die eingebundene OLithographie mit einem vertikalen Knick im weissen Rand. Der schwarze Leineneinband mit minimalen Gebrauchsspuren. Jef Verheyen lernt während eines Italien-Aufenthaltes Roberto Crippa und Lucio Fontana kennen, mit dem Letztgenannten arbeitet er 1962 an einem Triptychon und dem Werk "Rêve de Möbius" zusammen. Auch in den Kreisen um Yves Klein, Hermann Goepfert und den ZERO-Mitgliedern Günther Uecker, Otto Piene und Heinz Mack ist Jef Verheyen zu Hause. Er beteiligt sich nicht zuletzt an den meisten Ausstellungen von ZERO. Dass Jef Verheyen heute dennoch im Vergleich mit den genannten Künstlern nur wenig bekannt ist, ist einer Eigenheit geschuldet: Er verweigerte sich zeitlebens einer Zusammenarbeit mit Galerien. Eines von 50 (gesamt 200) Exemplaren der Vorzugsausgabe, in der die zweiteilige OlLthographien lose in den hinteren Innendeckel eingelegt ist.
