Condizione: Very Good-. 4to softback; 'Editor's Cockpit' by W E Johns; article 'China spreads her wings'; a feature on the Deicke aeroplane; mainly non fiction, but contains a story; also contains a nice advertisement for W E Johns Sky High, Steeley Flies again and coming soon, Murder by Air. Quite a nice copy, but cover detached from body. Vg-; ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.

Johns stories including 3 Biggles, 3 George Rochester stories. Spine bumped and faded. Corners are bumped and worn. Board edges are very rubbed. Rear hinge of binding has cloth split for approx 50% of length. Back board is stained. An oversize book, over 1kg packed, that will require additional postage to many destinations.

A few black and white text illustrations also by Howard Leigh. 11 stories, 3 by Johns: Two Air V.C.s; Strange Freight and The Ace of Spades ( Biggles). 2 stories by G.E. Rochester, and 2 by Arch Whitehouse. Spine just very slightly worn at head and tail, quite worn to front external hinge. All plates present, pages age toned as typical for this tome. Over 1kg packed extra postage will be required to many destinations.

Containing six chapters by W. E. Johns, including 4 Biggles stories; 4 by Geo E Rochester; 3 by Vigilant; 1 by Rolf Marben. With colour frontispiece and 3 full page colour plates, 4 full page b/w plates, and other b/w illustrations. All plates present. A rather scarce item.

German War-Birds by 'Vigilant' 1934 5th, in W.E.Johns' design d/w, tales of some of German fliers in WW2, minor sunning at spine ends, otherwise VG+ in VG price-clipped d/w with a new price sticker, some edge tears and associated rubs, but no loss, a decent copy.
