Condizione: Gut. Normale Altersspuren, gutes Ex. ---- Virgilio Ducceschi ( Scansano , 1. September 1871 gest. Padua , 19. Juni 1952 ) war ein italienischer Physiologe , Biochemiker und Wissenschaftler. Nach seinem Medizinstudium an der Universität Florenz im Jahr 1895 wurde er Assistent des Physiologen Giulio Fano. Seine wissenschaftliche Ausbildung wurde durch einen Studien- und Forschungsaufenthalt an der Universität Straßburg vervollständigt , zunächst am Institut für Physiologie unter der Leitung von JR Ewald und dann am Institut für Physiologische Chemie unter der Leitung von F. Hoffman. Hier führte er experimentelle Forschungen zur Leitfähigkeit von Nervenfasern, zu Phenylalanin und zur Oxidation von Melaninen durch. Nach seiner Rückkehr nach Italien im Jahr 1900 wechselte er an das von Luigi Luciani geleitete Institut für Humanphysiologie der Universität Rom und hielt dort einen Kurs in physiologischer Chemie. 1905 erhielt er den Lehrstuhl für Humanphysiologie an der Universität Palermo und wechselte 1907 an die Leitung des Instituts für experimentelle Physiologie der Universität Córdoba in Argentinien , wo er auch Kurse in physiologischer Chemie und experimenteller Psychologie hielt . 1916 kehrte er nach Italien zurück , um im Weltkrieg zu kämpfen. 1919 wurde er Direktor des Instituts für Humanphysiologie der Universität Sassari und wechselte 1919 in die Leitung des Instituts für Humanphysiologie der Universität Pavia Schließlich wechselte er 1925 an die Leitung des Instituts für Physiologie der Universität Padua und blieb dort bis zu seiner Ernennung zum emeritierten Professor. Als Autor zahlreicher wissenschaftlicher Publikationen hat er originelle wissenschaftliche Beiträge in vielen Bereichen der Physiologie und Biochemie geleistet .…
