Illustrated throughout with black and white typographic specimen sheets and designer portrait photographs. In acceptable+ condition. Gold toned paper wraps with black lettering have l…ight bumping and creasing to edges and light to moderate surface wear, rubbing, scuffing, and edge wear with small abrasions and color loss along spine and corners; rear cover exhibits noticeable spotting and staining; binding intact. Previous owner's (design firm) name and address stamps on first page. Interior pages show light toning with scattered foxing and occasional marginal spotting but are otherwise unmarked. Corporate typography specimen catalog presenting the fifteen award winning entries from the 1965 National Type Face Design Competition, sponsored by Visual Graphics Corporation. Includes full alphabet and numeral presentations in multiple sizes for each typeface, together with biographical notes and portrait photographs of the designers. The competition jury included Lucian Bernhard, Alvin Eisenman, Paul Rand, and Bradbury Thompson. Also includes descriptive material on the Photo Typositor system and its application in photographic typesetting. Contents include: Basilea by Markus J. Low; Andrich Minerva Italic by Vladimir M.
