This edition contains both Volumes I & II in this single volume. The Native-American love story was made into a stage play & motion picture, continuing to enthrall subsequent generations, & the legend of Ramona lives on today in the San Diego County town that bears its name (note: a 18-year-old Raquel Welch played the leading role in the town's production of the Ramona Outdoor Play). Originally published in 1884) & by Little, Brown in 1900, this edition from that same publisher has an Introduction & original photographs by A. C.
