Aus der Bibliothek von Prof. Wolfgang Haase, langjährigem Herausgeber der ANRW und des International Journal of the Classical Tradition (IJCT). - Einband gebräunt, Name des Autors auf dem Einband unterstrichen, sonst sauber. - Aus dem Text: Konrad Pellikan erzählt in seiner Hauschronik, dass im Oktober 154…8 Johann Fabricius Montanus bei ihm Wohnung genommen habe. Dieser, ein Neffe Leo Judäs, hat dann nach Pellikans Tod die lateinische akademische Gedächtnissrede auf den Landsmann gehalten. Die Gedichte des Montanus (Joh. Fabricii M. poemata) sind bei den Gebrüdern Gessner in Zürich erschienen und enthalten auf 67 Seiten in schönem Druck : 1. Sylvarum über unus, 2. De consulibus Tigurinis, liber primus, 3. De Quilelmo Thellio Elegia. Die Elegie (Nr. 3) ist «Konrado Pellicano, viro clarissimo» in einem kurzen Vorwort vom 1. März 1556 gewidmet; wenige Tage später, in den Osterferien, ist Pellikan gestorben; er hat also das Büchlein, falls es überhaupt schon im Frühjahr 1556 erschienen ist, wahrscheinlich gar nicht mehr gesehen. - Wikipedia: Johannes Fabricius Montanus (eigentlich Johannes/Jean/Hans Schmid; * im Herbst 1527 in Bergheim, Elsass; 5. September 1566 in Chur) war ein reformierter Geistlicher, neulateinischer Dichter und Universalgelehrter. - Theodor Renaud (Pseudoym: Theodor Vulpinus) (* 6. Februar 1844 in Erlangen; 28.
