Power's sketches recall his experiences and observations as a young British soldier posted to NZ from mid-1846 to mid-1848. He records his impressions of the early British settlers, the Maori people, the environment, some of the campaigns he was involved in during his posting, land deals and political issues. Begins: 'At the present moment, Mr Tyrone Power, "in person", is appearing at the London Coliseum in a play called "Mr Roberts". [.] The fact is that there was another Tyrone Power, who was a very celebrated actor indeed in his time.' TWO: Another copy of Item One, but without any autograph emendations.
