Die wahrscheinlich bedeutendste Innovation der Menschheitsgeschichte besteht wohl in den von den Indern entwickelten Zahlen im Stellenwertsystem mit der Null. Dieses leistungsstarke Zahlensystem wurde im Mittelalter durch die Araber über Spanien nach Europa importiert, was man ohne Übertreibung als Voraussetzung unserer weiteren wissenschaftlichen und technischen Entwicklung ansehen darf. Die Inspirationskraft des Ostens liegt auch vielen anderen Bereichen der europäischen Kultur zugrunde, und viele große Namen lassen sich hier nennen: Leibniz, Schopenhauer, Cousto. Im vorliegenden Werk erfolgt eine solche Inspiration und Aufklärung hinsichtlich des menschlichen Geistes, des Bewußtseins selbst. Denn die große Ironie unserer heutigen Situation besteht wohl darin, dass man im Westen mit den modernen bildgebenden Verfahren (MRT) genaue Einblicke in den Bau und die Funktion des menschlichen Gehirns gewinnen konnte, was die Autoritäten der Hirnforschung und Psychologie ("Lehre von der Seele") zu der Überzeugung geführt hat, dass kognitive Leistungen auf materielle Prozesse im Gehirn reduziert werden können und dass es keiner Seele und keines Bewußtseins als unabhängiger Entitäten bedarf. Demgegenüber wird im vorliegenden Werk (1996) das Bewußtsein als omnipräsentes Phänomen vorgestellt und an vielen Beispielen plausibilisiert. Einer der Autoren sollte später die feinstoffliche Materie als Agens der Seele mit exaktwissenschaftlichen Wägemethoden nachweisen, was - die notwendigen Reproduktionen dieser Versuche vorausgesetzt - als eine der bedeutendsten Entdeckungen der Menschheitsgeschichte gelten dürfte! Im vorliegenden Werk wird der Erkenntnisgang des Forschers nachvollziehbar, als hier das materiell gebundene Leben bereits als Phasengrenzphänomen erkannt wird.
