Final White Draft script for the 1930 film. Studio file copy, rubber-stamped on the front wrapper. Based on Joseph Conrad's 1915 novel, "Victory," the second of ten feature adaptations, preceded by Maurice Tourneur's 1919 film. Heyst (Arlen) is a hermit on an island who offers shelter to a redhead named Alma (Carroll), and the t…wo live somewhat harmoniously. That is, until Mr. Jones (Seyffertitz) shows up looking for buried treasure. White self wrappers, noted as Final White Script on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 370, FILE COPY, and MASTER FILE, dated September 11, 1929, with credits for writer Conrad, director Wellman, and screenwriters McNutt and Jones. 91 leaves, mimeograph duplication. Near Fine overall, side-stapled.

Vintage reference photograph from the 1927 film. Based on the 1925 play by Samson Raphaelson. The first feature film with both a synchronized recorded score and lip-synchronized singing and dialogue, effectively signaling the end of the silent era. At the first Oscars, producer Daryl F. Zanuck received an Honorary Academy Award…and the film was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay, though it was declared ineligible to compete for Best Picture in fairness to the nominated silent films. 8 x 10 inches. A British doctor is bitten by a strange animal while traveling in Tibet, and begins transforming into a bloodthirsty werewolf upon his return to London, terrorizing the city's inhabitants at night…while desperately searching for a cure in the daytime. Considered by many to be the first feature-length werewolf movie, preceding the better-known "The Wolf Man" by six years. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus, with brief wear along the right edge.

Two vintage publicity photographs of actress Heather Angel, circa 1933, each with a Fox Films stamp on the verso crediting photographer Ray Jones, and one with a mimeo snipe on the verso describing Angel's outfit for the 1933 film "Charlie Chan's Greatest Case." Film based on the 1925 Charlie Chan novel, "The House Without a Key…," by Earl Derr Biggers. From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. Angel was a British actress who starred in over 50 films between 1931 and 1979. She is perhaps best known for "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" (1935), "The Three Musketeers" (1935), "The Informer" (1935), and "The Last of the Mohicans" (1936), as well as providing the voices of Wendy's mother in Walt Disney's "Peter Pan" (1953) and Alice's sister in Walt Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" (1951). In 1933 Angel starred in three films for Fox Films, "Charlie Chan's Greatest Case," "Berkeley Square," and "Pilgrimage." 7.75 x 9.5 inches and 7.5 x 9.75 inches. Near Fine.
