Aggiungi al carrelloCondizione: Very Good. Undated but believed to be from 1930s, so a Scarce early edition. A Vintage Nautical Folding Sheet Map, linen-backed for durability, in Very Good + condition. A rare and beautifully preserved original 1930s maritime chart; exceptionally clean and bright, with vivid lithographed colours. Without annotations or heavy salt water staining. Prepared by Captain Oswald M. Watts, this edition covers the English Channel from the Goodwin Sands to Selsey Bill. Unlike later paper-only versions, this copy features the original linen backing, making it an excellent candidate for framing or historical collections. There is some shelf wear and flaking/loss to the two outer cover panels but the chart has no missing sections; the linen remains strong and provides excellent structural integrity. There is a small number of tiny open chips to edge of the sheet, i.e. which do not impinge on the chart itself. There a number of small closed tears, of which two extend a few millimetres on to the printed section of the chart. There are a few small and negligible brown marks, but mainly only on the border not on the chart itself. Occasionally there is some very small wear at the points where there is a four way fold in the chart. Also minor handling wear, and on the linen side of the chart grubbiness along some of the folds.
