Commander Lionel Kenneth Philip Crabb (b.1909) was transferred from the Royal Navy to carry out special underwater espionage missions for British Naval Intelligence and MI6. He disappeared in connection with the visiting Soviet cruiser, Ordzhonokidze in Portsmouth in 1956. The case has remained a subject of controversial speculation ever since and is here investigated by Michael G. Welham, former Royal Marine Commando and experienced diver.
