This book is of mixed condition: despite some discoloration to the upper board and a spot on the lower; the… mauve lettering remains bright. The interior has orange endpapers and is fresh, crisp, and completely clean throughout, though with some dust-freckles on the top-edge. The unclipped dust jacket ($4.75) has a sunned spine and signs of wear at the edges. [Please see my five images of the actual book.] From the rear flap: "Wernham's analysis of Shestov begins with statements made by Shestov in an article on Berdyaev: that his thought is not Dostoevskian but derives from Boehme, that it is not existentialist, and not Christian. § Comparisons are made between Berdyaev and Shestov in respect of their understanding of Dostoevsky, their distinctions between existential and speculative philosophy, and their conceptions of Christian theology."
