Universitätsprofessor. 2005 Ernennung zum Honorarprofessor am Institut für Kunstwissenschaft und Philosophie an der Katholisch-Theologischen Privatuniversität in Linz. Von 1987 - 1993 im Vorstand des Österreichischen Kunsthistorikerverbandes, seit 2002 Präsident von ICOMOS Österreich (International Council on Monuments and Sites).
