Collated, complete. Born during Nero's reign, Pliny the Younger was a lawyer and magistrate of Ancient Rome. With no surviving memoire, Pliny's letters are a fantastic record of the professional relationships between legal officials and the imperial office of Rome. Included in this volume is official correspondence between Pliny and Emperor Trajan. This edition published anonymously with the translation attributed to English religious author and lawyer, William Melmoth. ESTC T132374 Bound in contemporary calf. Externally, generally sound.
