About the book >.>.> In kaum einer anderen preu?ischen Stadt war die wirtschaftliche und soziale Situation so stark durch das Milit?r und die… R?stungsindustrie gepr?gt wie in Spandau. Im Schutz der Festung entwickelte sich hier seit dem 18. Jahrhundert ein Schwerpunkt der preu?isch-deutschen Waffenproduktion. Eine Entwicklung, die 1945 ihr Ende fand. Begonnen hatte es 1722 mit der Einrichtung der Gewehrmanufaktur auf dem Plan in unmittelbarer N?he der Zitadelle. Friedrich Wilhelm I. hatte die preu?ische Waffenproduktion zun?chst in private H?nde gelegt. 1852 aber kam es zur Aufl?sung des alten Vertrages, und die Werkst?tten gingen in staatliche Verwaltung ?ber. Bemerkenswert ist, dafs die Rechte der Arbeiter dabei in einer besonderen Dienstordnung geregelt wurden, die sie vor der Willk?r der Vorgesetzten sch?tzte. Im 19. Jahrhundert konzentrierten die preu?ischen Milit?rbeh?rden allm?hlich ihre wichtigsten R?stungsbetriebe in der Umgebung der Stadt: Gewehrfabrik. Gesch?tzgie?erei. Artilleriewerkstatt. Feuerwerkslaborator.
